"The Minister of State for Telecom (India) said the government under National Digital Communications Policy-2018 envisages creating 40 lakh additional jobs in the digital communications sector by 2022.The government on Thursday said 76,359 jobs have been created in the telecom sector since 2018-19.A total 40,445 jobs were created in 2018-19 and 35,914 jobs in 2019-20."
I really don't know what to say on this. But as per my study there are huge requirement of manpower in Telecom Sector in different departments. As i am more concerned about people who are working in RAN & RF side, I can see lots of job posting in job portals like Naukri, Shine, Indeed, Monster and Career Builder.
But there is a catch over here, and the catch is Job Description (JD). Whether they are hiring for Engineer, Senior Engineer, Technical Specialist or Senior Technical Specialist, In most of the JD we have few common Skills:
that is #5g #4glte #nfv #sdn #protocols #rrc #pdcp #rlc #mac #c #5gcore #5gnr #edgecomputing #massivemimo #mmwave etc.
As per my understanding companies are looking for candidate with good understanding of 4G and 5G Technology with knowledge of protocol testing or development and language like C/C++ or Python.
Most of the people who are working in RAN and RF side they are good in practical implementation of day to day work, but they lack in theoretical aspects (Concept of Technology). They need to upgraded their skill set according to the industry requirements. If you feel, whatever you know is enough for you to get the next job or to get the better position in the same organization, you will be in trouble very soon.
You need to learn complete 4G and 5G, whether its RAN, Core, Protocol Testing or Development. Learn as much as you can. You have time right now. You are working from home. Use your office commute time to study. There are free classes available on Internet .
