Job searching is one of the most stressful processes you endure as a working adult in America. Endless online applications and ceaseless rejection emails leads to a gloomy outlook for your job search. 

As a tenured recruiter, I’ve reviewed nearly a million resumes and screened and interviewed tens of thousands. I’m a pro at quickly examining resumes and choosing who fits the qualifications of the job and those that obviously don’t. When I look at your resume, I spend six seconds reviewing it. With such a short amount of time to get my attention, you want to ensure it isn’t for the wrong reason.

Below I’ve listed a few of the faux pas many applicants make in applying to the job; these mistakes are real interactions with candidates during my 14 years of recruiting.
