How To Get Invested Prospects Today With Intent-Based Marketing

Before I let you in on the secrets to getting INVESTED PROSPECTS - and I mean those that are 100% in, let's look at what your competitors are doing.

It's not at all surprising that many businesses STILL use agents or appointment setters (in various niches) to acquire clients. These guys do hundreds of cold calls and send tons of spam messages every day. 

Just to be clear, this strategy, to some degree, works. However, it comes with a huge cost of time, effort, money, and frustration; all for the gleam hope that someone will say YES to your offer.

The big problem with this method is that they are engaging with a vast number of leads, NOT filtered, NOT the most qualified. It's blind marketing.

Moreover, those leads that may be qualified or ideal within the pool will inevitably have a bad taste in their mouth about your company. Imagine being bombarded with sales calls or receiving spam sales emails or text messages. I'm sure you could relate.

If your team is currently setting appointments with prospects who are NOT "ideal" and NOT 100% interested in your service, chances are your client retention rate is super low.

Here's where you need to focus your framework: Your goal is to attract ATTENTION - get a LEAD - OFFER and FOLLOW-UP with people without making them feel that you're pushing too hard.

You want the process of conversion to flow organically.

The first and perhaps the most crucial thing you need to make sure of is to get your team pumped up and BELIEVE that this method works; that this strategy, as simple as it is will help them generate more qualified prospects and nurture happier clients.

Here's Your Quick Plan To Get more Invested Prospects

Step 1.

Gather data and identify things that spark your “ideal” clients' interests. Make it a point to post regularly on social media. Facebook and LinkedIn groups are fantastic platforms to start.

Content can vary from your images, live or recorded videos, reposts from industry leaders, practically anything that will encourage them to share about what makes them tick.

Examples: 

? "How to” posts

? “Offer” posts

? “Connecting” posts

? "The truth about...”

But do not stop there...Don't POST and GHOST. Engage and have real conversations. If possible, ask sifting questions and LIKE every comment as a form of acknowledgment.

Social Media algorithms now work in such a way that the number of people you reach is influenced by the engagement level of your posts, NOT by how many friends or fans you have. 

Step 2.

Turn these conversations into positive relationships. Give them something of value for free or send them the link to your sales funnels. Value means solutions to their problems and their pain points. It's ALWAYS about your clients or customers and how you can make their lives better.

 Dan Kennedy said it best: 

“The only asset that can be kept safe from every threat and made to appreciate in value year after year is the relationship you have with your customers.”

Step 3.

Once you've established the relationship, get your team to set up those appointments or make the offer. At this stage, your team is starting with a glass half full. The ice is already broken and there's a level of trust established. Your team can leverage the existing relationship. All they have to do is to make the deal even sweeter to merit a YES.

Step 4.

Use a strategic follow-up system -- this is for leads you were not able to convert. Generally, people do not buy on the first go; it's human nature to be skeptical. 

Most businesses fail at this process, resulting in missed sales opportunities that may otherwise be fulfilled if only a follow-up was done.

Having a set follow-up system and using it religiously allows you to re-engage the non-buyers. It's a chance to start the sales process with them again. Experiment with different methods like sending newsletters, providing exclusive access to training in membership sites and social groups. ENGAGE, ENCOURAGE, AND EMPATHIZE
