Have you ever wondered how to get really, really good leads on LinkedIn or on social media with network marketing? Have you ever wondered how to get leads that actually convert in to sales?
Well, today I’m going to share with you exactly that. Number one. I’m generating a lot of leads on social media and the number one lead that converts the best is LinkedIn.
Why? Because LinkedIn people are there for business. They’re there for two reasons. Either to refer business or they’re seeking opportunity. I love LinkedIn but one of the things you have to understand is you have to understand how LinkedIn works. Why it was first invented. Why did it get started? It got started for businesses to have a place to refer business and to seek out first employment or other opportunities, right? That’s why it was created.
Now marketers are a little different, but what people do when they go to LinkedIn is they search for other people. So what does that tell you? That tells you that you need to be sync-able, you need to be searchable, and you need to have the availability to get found.
If you want to get really good leads, the first thing you need to do is you need to determine your target market. Who will you go after? Who will you completely build your profile in your world around? Right? Who is that person for you? Figure that out!
Then what we need to do is we need to develop a keyword. I know my handwriting’s not all that sexy, but keyword phrase. Why? Because in your name and your description in your summary and your work history. You want to put that keyword phrase.
So this is what happens in your name, description, summary, and work history. You want to make sure you have that keyword phrase in there. Why? Because here’s what happens. There’s this big search box. People go to LinkedIn and they put something in the search box. They put “skincare” in the search box. They’re looking for somebody in the professional part of skincare.
Guess what happens? LinkedIn’s algorithm. It just goes and whoever matches that the best, that’s who comes up in the search. So you want to be found. That’s how you’re going to get automated leads on LinkedIn, right? So what do you do? You take that keyword phrase and you think about that keyword phrase. What keyword phrase is best for you? What keyword phrase is going to help you the most? Then what you do is you put it in all of those places.
Then immediately, LinkedIn is going to rank you higher.
Now there’s one other thing, there’s one caveat and that’s how many people you’re connected to. Connections, okay? So here’s what happens with LinkedIn. LinkedIn is so cool how their SEO algorithm works.
Your connections…the more connections you have the more the more people that are going to see you in their search rankings.
So if you have 10,000 connections, they will go through three degrees of separation and you’re going to have millions of people. If you have a hundred, you’re not going to have very many.
So the other thing that you want to do is you want to create as many connections as you possibly can inside of your target market, that perfect prospect, that’s what you want to do.
I want to go through it one more time. We’re going to pick a keyword phrase. Why? So when people search, they find us. Then we’re going to want to have our name, description, summary and work history with that keyword phrase in it.
