How to get appointments with the decision maker?

Today I had an interaction with a Sales growth community member.

Question was "How to get appointment with the decision maker?

When asked why this question and what are the challenges?

The response was not aware of :

  • Who is the decision maker?
  • How to gain attention of the decision maker?
  • How to get references of people who can support in getting an appointment with the decision maker?

Lot of tactical responses were generated like use of internet, references from someone known in the organisation, online platforms like linked in and many others, Indiamart, Companies websites, if we are gate crashing then security guards, reaching out to clubs or institutions which the decision maker is a part of, reading about interest areas of the decision maker and then seeing him there, networking platforms etc. and the list went on and on.....

Strategic answer to this might be "If its significant to us, that's all that matters". Step out with boldness into the unknown and trust in yourself and the energy will carry you through. When your belief is strong and your action is unstoppable, an unseen force supports your efforts, you may choose to call it divine. Build the habit of positive intention backed up by focused action then there is no returning back. The journey would only be onward and upwards after that.

Our everyday choices will determine whether we will attract decision makers or struggle with endless search.
