How to get ahead
Five days a week at 8 hours per day is 40 hours. That is what is expected of you - right? Yes, but only by the middle-class which suppresses you by insisting on no-change and on keeping you forever indebted to your work.
How do you get out of this?
10 hours a day for five days a week is 50 hours. That's 25% more already. Add in 8 hours on a weekend and you have 58 hours a week. That is 45% more.
Get rid of your TV. Statistics from Target Group Index (TGI) indicate that average viewing hours per person were roughly 29 hours per week in 2008 (it is probably more now in 2017). Add that to your 40 hours and you have 69 hours per week - a whopping 73% more time. Use that for family, friends, exercise and work. That way you will get ahead!
What work? Backlogged communications, enhancement (read studying), research, writing papers for conferences, completing projects, marketing, promoting yourself if you are looking for a new position - anything that will get you miles ahead of the middle-class-40-hours-per-week-individuals and competitors.
Carve out more time and ensure that you flourish and prosper. Do this and you have a chance of getting ahead. Don't and you will be rooted firmly in the middle class rat-race.
It is your choice. Start!
