As you see in the name, Ansible Lightspeed is integrated with the new IBM Watson Code Assistant. Announced at IBM Think Q2 2023, Watson Code Assistant is infused with an Ansible-specific foundation model that has been trained with open-source Ansible Galaxy content and additional Red Hat subject matter expertise.
Key things that Ansible Lightspeed with IBM Watson Code Assistant will deliver from day 1:
A contextual experience for automation developers, with the service accessed directly in their code editor via VSCode extension.
Quality automation code recommendations from a highly focused model, that adhere to accepted Ansible best practices.
Now the big question is how to install and get access to Ansible Lightspeed?
1. Install the Ansible VS Code extension.
2. Enable Ansible Lightspeed in the Ansible VS Code extension.
Then, enable two checkboxes; “Ansible Lightspeed enabled” and “Enable Ansible LightSpeed with Watson Code Assistant inline suggestions.”
3. Connect and Sign into Lightspeed Service.
4. Logging into Github and entering credentials.
5. Accepting Terms & Conditions and Authorize Lightspeed.
6. Final Step:
Ansible LightSpeed is now configured in VS Code.
Hope it helps.
