Here's the thing about LinkedIn.
Everyone knows that it is basically your modern online resume.
But, I've noticed from the people I've worked with that they are not fully optimizing their LinkedIn profile to put their best foot forward.
As agency owners, you need to impress your potential clients at every point in the sales cycle.
Having an amazing, fully optimized LinkedIn profile, is one of the best ways to do that.
In this article, I'm going to show you how to do that and how doing so can get you over 10,000 followers like I was able to do.
TREAT YOUR PROFILE LIKE A WEBSITE LANDING PAGE
When we talk about putting our best foot forward, we think about making every single aspect of our brand's appearance perfectly tuned for the end customer.
Why would your LinkedIn profile page be any different?
The thing to remember is that your audience likely reads your content from top to bottom and from left to right like any other page.
Ask yourself: if your LinkedIn profile were your website landing page would you be proud of it?
Does your profile photo and banner image reflect your best self? Are you smiling, why not?
I'd also optimize your LinkedIn headline to be as good as a headline on your website.
Mine is:
Join AgencyGo.io: I will add $10k MRR to your digital marketing agency in 30 days or your money back.
This immediately attracts people to my profile, gets them interested, and leads them down the funnel (my page) for a conversion (usually a LinkedIn DM).

BUILDING SOCIAL PROOF
There's a couple ways that I build social proof into my LinkedIn profile page.
The first way is through content (I'm sure you're thinking "duh!"), but I have a specific content strategy that helps me get followers.
First, I will post twice per day on LinkedIn, usually in Twitter style format without hashtags. This gets engaged users to interact with my profile page.
Secondly, I will post once per week on my LinkedIn newsletter which reaches 1,730 of my LinkedIn followers who are the most engaged with my content.
Thirdly, I will feature my LinkedIn articles inside my profile and I will put my LinkedIn newsletter subscription button front and center on my profile page.
All three of these things in conjunction help build a solid foundation of social proof that makes people more likely to hit that "Follow" button on my page.
