1. Small guests are actually better than big guests in his opinion. Small guests have loyal followings, are more likely to share the episode when it comes out, and have unique stories that haven't been heard by the world yet.
2. How changing his podcast intro took him from 20k downloads per month to 60k per month. “canned” pre-recoded intros are a thing of the past. Dynamic intros where you talk directly to your listener and tell them what they can expect from the amazing episode to come is the new way to go.
3. SEO-optimized, searchable titles were a massive factor. Surprisingly to me, Nate told me that SEO optimized titles were huge. His podcast lives in the fitness space, so he found that people were searching fitness related topics in their podcast apps. When they searched titles like “how to lose weight fast”, Nate’s show would pop up because he cleverly crafted the titles to align with search terms.
