How to generate so many leads you'll be hand picking your clients..

(I know it's a bold headline haha but I promise once you reach the end → it'll all be worth it)


Everyone talks about how "consistent content" is the answer to generating leads


And that your 2x KPI's everyday should be


→ 1 piece of content

→ 90 minutes of engaging


Well I'm here to add a third...


And I promise if you do it for 3 months and get as good → hitting the TAB button 3 times and then the ENTER key after each time you leave a comment


You'll book 10x more meetings that you thought possible and be hand picking your clients..


It's simply → starting 30 chats a day


Now I know it may seem oblivious → but the biggest correlation to revenue will be the number of conversations you have with ideal potential clients.


Think of content and the conversation lubricant → all it does is make it easier to have them.


This should be your number 1 priority if you want to make $ which will sometimes mean missing you 7 day posting streak.


Now before I show you the How I need to first break it down the conversation Tiers.


  • Tier 1 = Inbound lead
  • Tier 2 = Intent based
  • Tier 3 = Cold DM (yes they work)


And to understand the tiers we first need to understand the Demand Generation Triangle.


The only difference between a Tier 1 and a Tier 3 is that Tier 1 will have a higher % change of being in the 3% chance of "Ready To Purchase"


(You might need to reread that twice lol. Tongue twister!)


This means that for Cold DM's to work → all you need to do is send more of them.


BUT

(Yes it's a big but and I don't lie lol)


The further you niche down → the higher % chance your Cold DM will actually be in the 3% that is ready to buy

(this will be covered in a later newsletter OR you can get access in our program now at unlockai.ai )


What I'm saying here is the even if you start with 3 connections you can still book meetings and close deals exactly like Sion did in our program


Ok now let's get to the How for each of the Tiers.


Tier 3 - Cold DM

I know I know → your feed says they don’t work….


But the next time you see a post like this do me a favor


→ Click on their profile

→ Go to their experience section

→ Try and find any sales experience


I’ll bet 10 tubs of connoisseur ice cream they’ll have none…


Cold outreach works when you do it the right way → and it’s quite simple really


If no one’s responding to your message it’s either not


1) Not Personalised

OR

2) Not Relevant


Enough to warrant a response that is.


(I covered these in last weeks 10 Commandments newsletter)


Seriously. That’s it…


If someone sent me a Cold DM saying


“Hey Matt, I work with coaches on LinkedIn that have 20-100k followers to build a funnel scaling them from $1M to $3M without anymore work.”


I will 100% respond to it (try it I dare you)


This is the exact strategy I use that currently has a 100% reply rate.

Like magic I know..


Now I do understand that you might not have as much authority or case studies to back yourself up but


Imagine if you even got a 20% reply rate to 100 Cold DMs minimum per week?


That’s 1,040 conversations with your ideal potential clients a year.


Think about it → what impact would it make?


Tier 2 - Intent Based

If you have an established personal brand this should be your bread and butter.


I've personally coached (and am coaching) multiple creators who've seen a 3x increase in their meetings book from simply starting chats with Tier 2 which are


  • Profile viewers
  • 1st degree connections
  • Connection request sent to you
  • Peeps engaging on your content


Because nobody does any of these unless they are somewhat interested in what you do.


Now the rule here is


→ The more Authority OR

→ Less time you have


The more direct you should be.


→ Authority because people will respond

→ Less time because you want to cut the cr*p


I start 30 chats a day with the script below which leads to 20-30% of our revenue.


“Hey Bill, thanks for viewing my profile. Are you just here for the content, or are you looking for someone help with lead generation?”


You don’t need to reinvent the wheel → you simply need to offer help to those that might need it.


“But Matt, I’ve only been posting for a few months and don’t yet have that much authority. What should I do?”


Think low friction to next action.


What can I say to someone that will increase the % chance that they will respond to a first message?


Increase the personalisation and relevance by


  • Ask them a leading question
  • Offering them a lead magnet
  • Send them a personalised Loom
  • Share a case study that's relevant
  • Mention something in their content


There’s 100's of ways you can do it but the key is to find the one that works for you :)


Because you want to take them from


Chat Started → Them Replying → You Offering Help → Being Qualified → Call Booked → Call Attended

Tier 1 - Inbound


Ah the glorious inbound.


Not going to lie → coming from 6 years in outbound sales Inbound feels like a cheat code.


But most people are doing it wrong


What matters most here → is speed to lead


According to this source if you reach out in 5 minutes you are

→ 100x more likely to connect

→ 21x more likely to convert

Now let’s be real → that’s probably a slight exaggeration lol


But it does emphasize the point.


And why does it work?


We decide based on emotion and justify it with logic...


(So get them when dat dopamine is pumping!)


Now when dealing with types of these leads you want to make sure → you remove as much friction as possible.


Because they're coming in red hot and ready to buy → so let them.


A few golden rules


→ be quick to respond

→ don’t ask as many questions

→ tailor questions to main points

→ make the ask to go ahead earlier


And if they want to buy → shut up and take their money.


Here's an example from a couple of weeks back.


Lead came in


→ I immediately started the chat

→ I answered questions quickly

→ I asked less questions than my script

→ I personalised the response via audio

→ I offered a deal and….


Shut up and took the money.


Deal closed in 31 minutes.


For inbound the key is to reduce the friction for someone to buy → as they've already made up their mind.



And that's pretty much it.


You'll start out sending more Cold DM's and get better at it over time

You'll then start getting Tier 2 once you get some traction with your posting

You'll then one day find an inbound lead sitting in your inbox and

You'll wonder why you didn't start 30 chat's a day earlier

When your generating soo many leads and hand picking your clients.


Ok that might have been a slight exaggeration :)
