How to Generate Sales for your Business

How to Generate Sales for your Business

So, you have started your own business, you have the concept, the vision, the dream and now you want customers. It might be at this point you might start to feel the pressure of having to generate sales. Here are three tips and how and where you should get started… immediately.

1.    Facebook Advertising

One of the best ways to reach your audience is via the Facebook Advertising platform. Facebook has approximately 2 and a half billion users, that’s a lot of potential views on your ads every day. Facebook ads will let you get smart and focus on creating smart, informative, engaging ads to a target audience. You can focus on location, behaviours, interests, job profiles and habits of your target demographic, making Facebook ads a must in your marketing plan and budget.

My Tip – This is one function you should look to outsource. There are some fantastic people out there who can work wonders with your budget and drive home quality leads for you. You don’t need to be an expert here when you can outsource it.

2.    Networking

A lot of people tend to get scared off by networking as they feel that it requires a lot of public speaking or addressing large rooms of people. That’s not always the case and only a small part of it. The core element of networking is building your network. Network building can take time and ideally work on this should commence before you open your doors for business.

My Tip - Don’t be afraid to reach out to people to introduce yourself or ask for introductions. Let people know who you are and what you have. Build connections through social media. A great way to start is to practice every day using a platform such as LinkedIn or Facebook. Spend just 20 mins of each day reaching out, starting conversations and building relationships. By the end of the week you have amassed over 2 hours of time invested into your network building.

3.    Word of Mouth

The best type of marketing there is. All you need to do is ensure your customers are happy. They will do the rest for you. Your business standards and practices should be strongly focused on the customers experience. Duty of care for you customers is absolutely vital.

My Tip – Ensure that your customers receive a great experience from the moment they are touched by your advertising to the moment they receive their good or service and beyond. A happy customer will do a lot of free marketing for you. Everyone loves to share a great experience.
