How to Generate 30% More Revenue in 90 Days with Ethical Persuasion

Welcome! I'm Dr. Thomas Trautmann (Dr. T), founder of Happy Brains, where we help you use ethical persuasion to serve more people and increase your revenue. Today, I'm excited to share with you the 5 strategies of Ethical Persuasion that will help you grow your revenue by 30% in 90 days. These strategies will help you stop being pushy and connect with your clients on a deeper level, build trust, and drive meaningful transformations.

Strategy 1: Trigger The first step in ethical persuasion is understanding what triggers people to make decisions. The biggest mistake is appealing to the conscious-rational part of the brain when decisions are driven by the subconscious. The primal brain, which is much older than the rational brain, plays a crucial role in decision-making. It responds to emotional triggers rather than logical arguments. By addressing subconscious frustrations, you can effectively engage the primal brain and motivate action. Techniques include speaking to the subconscious part of the brain, identifying emotional triggers behind rational concerns, and using emotional vocabulary. For instance, if your client is concerned about hair loss, the rational concern is appearance, but the subconscious frustration is how they feel at social events. Speak to their frustration to feel confident and successful at these events.

Strategy 2: Trust Building trust is essential for any decision-making process. Without trust, there is no decision. Ethical persuasion builds trust by demonstrating authority, likeability, and a deep understanding of your audience's needs. Trust is created in the brain through repeated positive experiences and emotional connections. The primal brain associates trust with familiarity and safety, established through consistent and empathetic interactions. Actions to build trust include sharing stories that resonate with your audience, showing empathy, and using testimonials and case studies to build credibility. For example, Coca-Cola sells more than Pepsi because it triggers trust in the primal brain through engaging stories that connect emotionally with their audience.

Strategy 3: Tribe Convert clients into loyal tribe members. A tribe is a group of loyal followers who resonate with you. They buy your products and tell others about them, creating a powerful network of advocates. Humans are naturally wired to seek belonging and community. The primal brain finds comfort and security in being part of a tribe. By creating a sense of belonging, you can foster loyalty and advocacy among your clients. Key points include building a community around you and your brand, creating messaging that resonates with your tribe's values, and encouraging word-of-mouth marketing. Companies like Apple and Harley Davidson have strong tribes; their customers buy into a lifestyle and a community, not just products.

Strategy 4: Transformation Emphasizing meaningful changes and improvements focuses on the "Why" by highlighting the meaningful changes your clients can achieve through your services. This strategy underscores the deeper purpose behind your work. The brain is motivated by potential rewards and positive outcomes. By illustrating the transformation your clients can experience, you activate the brain's reward system, making your offer more compelling. Ideas include communicating the deeper purpose behind your services, illustrating before-and-after scenarios, and sharing impact stories and measurable outcomes. People talk more about Elon Musk than about Tesla or Space X because what drives Elon resonates with his clients, not just the products.

Strategy 5: Transparency Focus on authenticity and openness to sell more and stop being pushy. Transparency emphasizes your "Who" by focusing on authenticity, openness, and clarity about who you are and what drives you. This strategy builds a strong personal connection with your audience. The brain craves authenticity and honesty. When you are transparent, you activate the brain's trust centers, making it easier for people to connect with and believe in you. Now is the time to start creating a new you to get more revenue: share your personal journey and challenges, clearly communicate your core values and mission, and develop a strong personal brand. For example, my client Allain, after a coaching session with me, got his “Who” clear. This explained why he was wasting time and not growing his business. By converting his who, being “The Fixer”, into a powerful tool, he founded a new business and created 35% additional income in 4 months.

By implementing these 5 strategies, you can connect with your clients on a deeper level, build trust, and drive meaningful transformations. Remember, ethical persuasion is about serving more people and increasing your revenue in a way that feels good for both you and your clients.
