THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS ARE HERE!!

The schools have now officially broken up and for many offices the next couple of months will see staff jetting off on their holidays, and rightfully so.

For business owners the summer months can be tricky. Business needs to continue and despite the holidays proving a great way for gatekeepers to stop you from speaking to the dm, it is not an excuse for sales to slip. And remember, that gatekeeper needs a summer holiday as well...

The summer months are in fact a great chance to reflect & re-focus your sales process & re-train your team...

This month I will be looking at different areas of sales from Telesales, to Networking and Marketing.

This week our focus is going to be on Building Sales & maintaining a positive Work Life Balance, covering;

  • 5 Steps to Networking
  • A Book Recommendation To Combat Your Sales Stress and Boost Your Confidence
  • An Invitation To Help You Gain A Better Work Life Balance & Increase Your Sales

Enjoy :)

5 Steps To Networking

Networking is a great way to build your leads BUT it is not something that comes naturally to everyone.?

Here are 5 steps that are guarenteed to help you through those early days of networking and beyond.?

Remember these and you will see those leads building up and before you know it you will be generating new customers...?

  1. Be clear on your mission -If you're clear on what you want to achieve then your audience is more likely to engage with you and help you in finding those perfect leads
  2. Begin with a goal - Having a goal not only helps you to keep focused but it also means you can measure your results. This could be in terms of how long it takes for you to build leads/ customers, whether or not you're attracting your 'ideal' cusomter etc.
  3. Be prepared - Lot's of networking events give you a set time in which you have to 'pitch' to the audience. Making sure you are prepared is key to getting the right message across.
  4. Practice your pitch - Practice, practice, practice. No body wants to be cut of in the middle of a sentence but lot's of networking events can be cut throat with this. You may get some leaway as a newbie to networking but believe me if you can nail it first time round it will go a long way with those who are in the room networking with you.
  5. FOLLOW UP - This is often where people go wrong. FOLLOW UP. Networking doesn't stop the moment the event is finished. Networking provides you with the chance to make leads but it takes you to follow up and build that relationship in order for a customer to be created.?

Networking is not only a great way to build a new client base but it's also socialable. It's about geting to know people and although there is a business focus it is also aout having fun, so enjoy it.?

Happy Networking ??

How is your work life balance?

Are you missing out on things in life that you enjoy because you are spending too much time IN your business?

Think about these questions and answer them honestly. Better still, ask your partner, friends or colleagues what their thoughts are on your work life balance.?

It's the summer, so like you're staff, you should have time off to do the things that you love, whether that be spending time with your family, friends, goiong on holiday, playing sport or whatever it might be.?

The reality is that most business owners DO NOT have a good work life balance. They spend far too much time IN their business rather than doing the things that make them happy outside of their business.?

Why??

Because running a business is hard, it takes A LOT of responsibility and there always seems to be another job to do.
