How full is your tank?

We all know the importance of self-care at this point. The pandemic taught us that much. Today, I encourage you to think about your energy level right now. How full is your tank?
This summer has been a busy one for me. Activities that I expected to fill me up ended up draining me, and vice versa. I realized that I had to pay attention to my energy level each day and adapt accordingly. I wasn't always able to accomplish everything I had set out for myself, but that was OK. By taking the time to recoup and fill my tank, I set myself up for much more productive days afterward.
On any given day, we participate in a host of activities that fill and drain our tanks. While it would be great for everything to fall into the "fill" category, we know that life doesn't work like that. We inevitably encounter things that drain us. Knowing this to be true, it's important to regularly pursue activities that fill us up again.
I hope that you have a long list of activities you can use to fill your tank when your energy is getting low. (And no, coffee alone doesn't count!)
Self-reflection:
How full is your tank?
What drains your tank?
What fills your tank back up again?
How do you communicate with others about what you need?
Your newsletter always fills me with good ideas!
