How to Fuel Your Career

How to Fuel Your Career

Did you know that you don’t have to wait to be handed your next opportunity? You could own the change you want to see in your career by doing the following three things:

  • Seize the Opportunity: Instead of choosing things because ‘maybe one day’ or ‘what if later,’ make the best decision you can with the information you have right now. Tomorrow will be different than you expect. I hear there’ll be sun.
  • Onboard Yourself: If you are not satisfied with how you’ve been indoctrinated into your current role, change it. Everyone’s doing the best they can (says my Optimistic Self) so ask for what you need and if capacity is low, do what you can to position yourself for the success you plan on making.?
  • Reposition Your Brand: Even when you’re happy where you are, chances are there is a dream that is guiding you. Take a moment to look ahead and audit how you think, talk, and prioritize your career so that you are prepared for what’s next when the time is right.

What these activities allow you to do is focus on your locus of control so that you can? feel empowered in this moment rather than regretful in the next.?

Your partner in change,

Tiffany
