Air Canada, AeroMexico, Alaska Airlines and Air Canada resume operations

If you're planning to travel on a 737 Max by 2023, you may have a choice of airline. Four of the world's biggest airlines are now flying the aircraft, after they resumed operations in December.

Air Canada will resume its service on the MAX plane as early as February. The Canadian airline has equipped its fleet with safety-enhancing features, including a dual-HUD system that enables pilots to see both the Captain and First Officer during takeoff and landing. Its pilots are in simulator sessions for six hours per day, and will complete about 40 hours of computer-based training.

Aeromexico will also resume its Max flights. Mexico's largest airline group expects to add more routes in the future. They already operate 13 737-9s.

Alaska Airlines has also taken delivery of a 737 Max. This will be the carrier's first 737 Max. Its initial service will be on Los Angeles to San Jose. In addition to that, it will offer up to 36 departures each week on its Miami hub, depending on the day of the week.

During the Max's two-year grounding, Boeing faced numerous inquiries from other regulators around the world. Aviation safety agencies ordered the company to increase its pilot training and make repairs. After that, the aviation safety agency recertified the Max and cleared it to fly.

American Airlines also started to resume Max operations. The airline has begun daily flights from its Mineta San Jose Airport to several other hubs. These will continue through at least April.

Norwegian Air has pledged to avoid using Max aircraft during the initial ramp-up. That means that the Max will not be operating on Norwegian flights this year.

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has cleared the Max to fly in most countries. However, China is still not allowing the aircraft to operate. Even though Boeing has not taken action against China, the airline is not scheduled to fly the Max in Asia this year.

Southwest Airlines has been the most active 737 Max customer in the U.S. This month, the carrier has scheduled nearly 2,000 flights.

The Max is also back in service for Cayman Airways, which is resuming service in February. Several other airlines have said they will work with passengers to ensure their safety. For example, Alaska has 68 firm orders for Max.

There are other carriers planning to launch a Max flight during the next few years. Lynx Air has four weekly flights from Phoenix to Calgary, as well as plans to begin service from Las Vegas to Calgary. Meanwhile, Air Canada, AeroMexico, Alaska Airlines, and United Airlines have announced their plans to resume flights.

When the 737 Max is finally recertified, it is expected to be the first of many jets to be returned to the skies for commercial use. The aircraft is capable of carrying 159 passengers in single class and has a maximum takeoff weight of 30,000 pounds.

Airbus A350 and Boeing 787 scheduled to arrive in 2023

The Airbus A350 and Boeing 787 are both scheduled to arrive in 2023. Both planes have similar features, but the A350 provides an advantage when it comes to comfort. Despite being a narrower aircraft, the A350 provides a wider cabin, allowing more room to move around. Moreover, the A350 has the same range as the 777 and offers a wider panoramic window to keep passengers comfortable during long flights.

While the A350 and Boeing 787 are both expected to arrive in 2023, there are many factors that could affect their respective timelines. Supply chain stability is one of the most important factors that manufacturers and airlines consider. As Boeing and Airbus work to stabilize their supply chains, they will be able to deliver more airplanes faster and at a lower cost.

American Airlines has placed a huge new order for 47 Boeing 787 Dreamliners. These aircraft will replace the carrier's existing Boeing 767s and A319s. There are also options to buy an additional 100 aircraft. When it comes to the A350, the company will be buying 45 aircraft on a 2012 agreement with United Airlines.

However, the airline's CEO and CFO have indicated that they will delay the deliveries of the planes. Instead, they expect to hire 15,000 new employees in 2023. By the end of the decade, all 767 aircraft will have been decommissioned from the carrier's fleet.

The Boeing 787 has been delayed by more than a year, bringing the delivery date closer to 2024. Meanwhile, the Boeing 777X is facing setbacks. This latest model of the 777 will be equipped with a ten-abreast layout. It will also be a more efficient jet than the previous models.

With these factors in mind, it is not surprising that United's order for the A350 has not been delivered yet. Initially, the airline ordered 100 aircraft, but deferred the order to at least 2027. At the time, Scott Kirby said it was easier to purchase a Boeing 787 than an Airbus A350.

Since that announcement, United has deferred the delivery of the A350 several times, but the aircraft will still be delivered in the next few years. In addition, the airline plans to make the aircraft available to domestic passengers.

Despite this, the airline plans to continue to deploy the A350 on some of its most important long-haul routes. This will include some of its West Coast destinations.

Until the aircraft are actually delivered, it's unlikely to be clear what will drive the value of the new widebody planes. Nevertheless, if the number of current generation planes increases, it will be an indication that more of the older aircraft will be pushed out of the fleet.

China's capacity shortage will drive carriers to unseal all 737 MAX aircraft

Boeing has been pushing China to reinstate the 737 MAX into commercial service for more than a year. In November, the company said that China was a step closer to restoring flights. It plans to produce 400-450 MAX aircraft in 2023. The program is awaiting certification.

Air China, one of China's largest airlines, took two MAXs for testing and recertification. Hainan Airlines has also taken a MAX to the airport. These are just a few of the recent moves by Chinese carriers that could see the type return to flight operations.

Chinese airlines are eager to resume flight services in the near future. A capacity shortage is driving the action. While more airlines have started to unseal 737s, the total number of flights will still be small, as airlines are unable to add capacity to fill empty seats.

However, as more carriers take deliveries of 737s, they will begin to experience a boost in business. This will help Boeing's bottom line. Ultimately, Boeing hopes that this increase in business will bring more orders and keep its edge in twin-aisle airplanes.

One key issue for Boeing is reclaiming the reputation it lost after the 737 MAX's first crash. It has been slow to recover in China. Since the grounding of the aircraft, supply chain disruptions have delayed production. Even Boeing's 787 Dreamliners have suffered setbacks. There are concerns about piling up an oversupply of MAXs.

Nonetheless, there are a number of key events that indicate the Chinese government is ready to approve Boeing's return to commercial service. The most notable is the recent announcement by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). CAAC said that it has approved a plan to allow Boeing to restart deliveries of 737 MAX aircraft to local airlines.

Other countries, such as the European Union, have also approved the return of a re-certified 737 MAX to commercial service. However, the FAA's certification process is viewed by foreign regulatory agencies as a risky undertaking. As such, Boeing is now working to rebuild its reputation.

With China's COVID-19 regulations relaxed, airlines are anxious to resume flight services. This is especially true on domestic routes. But the impact will be felt in the international market. Business travelers and tourists will not be able to travel at the same rate as before the outbreak.

Boeing has tapped into its inventory of engines to partially fill the shortfall in supply. Boeing has also re-marketed MAX aircraft that had been bound for China to other customers.

Despite its lack of public statements, Boeing has not lost hope that China will eventually allow its 737 to make a comeback. They are working to reclaim their reputation and deliver on their backlog of 737 MAX and 787 Dreamliners.
