How are flex-rigid boards produced?

Rigid-flex board is a flexible electronic circuit board (FPC) and a rigid control circuit board (PCB), which can be combined according to the relevant technical process design requirements after pressing and other processes in the PCB proofing to form a product with FPC characteristics Circuit board with PCB characteristics.


The production of flexible boards should also have FPC PCB production equipment and manufacturing equipment, and the production process is complicated:


First, the electronic technical engineer (customer) draws the circuit and shape of a flexible bonding board according to the market demand, and then the design drawings can be provided to the PCB factory;


Then, after the CAM engineers process and plan the relevant documents, arrange the production of the PCB; require FPC, PCB production lines

After the PCB model FPC comes out, according to the planning requirements of the drawing, the printed circuit board of the FPC seamless nip press, and then through a series of linked details, the final made rigid-flex circuit board.


Rigid-flex boards are difficult, and there are many problems in detail management. Before the delivery time, we generally require students to conduct a full inspection.


Rigid-flex boards can be used for some products with special requirements, such as: mobile phones, computers and LCD screens, motherboards and display screens. It is of great help to save the internal space of the product, reduce the volume of the finished product, and improve the performance of the product. However, in PCB proofing, the production process of soft and hard plywood is diverse, the production is difficult, the yield rate is low, and the materials and manpower are more. Therefore, its price is more expensive and the production cycle is longer.
