This week's poll, we asked people where the macro trend for influencers is going. According to Influencer Marketing Hub , the influencer market has grown from 1.7 billion in 2016 to 16.4 billion in 2022.
TikTok is also saying that influencer style gets 2x more conversions on their platform.
Now the poll only got a limited response and it is worth noting that most respondents are marketers who are more likely to get influencer fatigue well before the larger market does.
That being said, the big takeaway from a (very) small sample size is the trend may be at the end of a cycle.
I've personally penciled in the FTX shenanigans as a possible tipping point for audience trust in influencers.
