How to Find and Keep Motivation During Your IVF Journey: Tip 1: Don’t Blame Yourself

Motivation is one of the biggest struggles for people who are going through infertility and their IVF journey.

Over the next few weeks, I'm going to have several people as guest speakers on my podcast to talk about how they maintained motivation and how they found motivation when it was lost during their IVF journey. Some of the people that will come on my weekly show are actually going to be people who are going through the journey right now and giving a real time explanation and tips on what they're doing to stay motivated.

One of the most important things, and this is going to be part of an ongoing series that I'm starting, is going to be a series on ways to find motivation. In talking to so many different people, both men and women, one of the biggest pieces of advice that I've heard is that it's so important to stop blaming yourself, as if it's your fault that you're struggling with infertility. When you can let go of blaming yourself and thinking that it's your fault, it actually will give you the motivation to keep fighting and to keep pushing forward throughout your IVF journey.

So, tip number one on maintaining and or finding motivation when you're feeling discouraged is to stop blaming yourself. It's not your fault. It's not. It's so easy to lose motivation when something bad happens or when something gets in the way of something that you've dreamed of. Unlike so many other things in life where you can screw up your pursuit of your dreams, in this case, with infertility, it's not your fault and that's so important to remember.

The good thing is that there are so many other people out there who can come around you and support you. There are so many experts and professionals who can give you the care that you need. So, remember today, it's not your fault and keep pushing forward.
