How to Find and Analyse Expired Domain?

Expired Domains: It's just like stealing someone else property who didn't believe it or forgot to renew it.

1. Ahref (To check Referring Domains (RD), Anchor Text and keywords targeted before)

2. Moz (You can use https://www.checkmoz.com/ also to check DA and PA and links)

3. Dynadot https://www.dynadot.com/domain/bulk-search.html (To bulk check domain availability again)

Uses of Expired Domain:

1.Starting New website based on old works but with new ideas.

2.301 Redirect to pass link juice and traffic

3. Building Your Private Blog Network (PBN)

Below is some checklist I follow to get some great expired domains :

1. Referring Domain (RD): Most Important point for me better and diverse the Referring domains are better the domain is.More is the number of authority domain better it is. But not only authority domains matter more the niche relevant domain link better it is. (Domain with more relevant backlinks is better than domain with just backlinks from 1 or 2 authority domain). Check for Dofollow backlinks mostly.

2. Total Backlinks / Referring Domain Ratio: BL/RD ratio of the domain should not be more than 20. In some cases, an exception is made if it has very good RD.

3. Moz Metrics (DA PA): After above conditions are satisfied I check the domain Domain authority (DA) and Page Authority (PA) and I normally prefer domains with DA above 15. But Again as I said for me Referring domain matters a lot because rest of thing I also can do with small works. Normally Moz metrics give priority to total RD but some domainers have more than 30k domains linked to each other and that makes there DA PA high so the key fact is analyzing like I told above.

4.Spam Score: Well I don't take domains with spam score higher than 3 or where I see some link spamming is done

5.Penalty Check: Most important check before buying any domain is that whether Google has indexed any pages from the domain. While some domains will have a single page indexed, you should stay away from domains that have zero pages indexed. To check just use this Google Dork "site:domain.com"

6. Wayback Archive (https://archive.org/web/): Another Important aspect I check thoroughly is how it was in past.Few points I especially check :

a)If Any redirects straight reject

b)If any porn or Chinese or any objectionable content used before

C)Should be in use for the complete period from first registration to last registration. If it's not in use from more than 1 year then the domain juice is almost over and it's of no use.

7.Anchor Text: Anchor should be clean with no Chinese text or objectionable text. And anchor text % should not be more than 25% per text.

8.Domain Age: Google gives priority to older domains so older the domain better it is. It is calculated from the date it was first registered.

9.Web traffic and social profiles: If the domain is already getting traffic and ranking for some keywords and have all social profiles being made you can go ahead and buy it will save a lot of your time on building the logo and getting initial fans or traffic and u can start right away.
