What are Fiber Optic Pool Wall Fittings
Fiber optic pool wall fittings use a fiber optic cable instead of an LED or globe to provide light on the wall. Fiber optic fittings are mounted in the pool much the same way as a powered fitting, only connected with a fiber cable and not electrical wires. Fiber cables are put through conduits transmitting the light from the illuminator and connected to the fitting in the pool.
Fiber optic pool fittings have no LEDs, heat sinks, or electrical circuits and are not affected by the pool's heating. This allows for fully submersible installations without concern of an electrical current coming in contact with the water.
The IP43 illuminator providing the light is typically stored in the pump room or it can be stored outdoors. The LED light source in the illuminator has a 30,000+ hour working life and has color-changing, dimming, and timing sequences.

Fibre Optic lighting is perfect for swimming pools as only light is transmitted through the fiber cables. Due to this, fiber cables do not emit any electricity or heat, so there is no risk of mixing water and electricity.

What's in the Pool Wall Fittings Kit
The Fiber Optic Pool Wall Fittings Kit comes with wall fittings, fiber optic cables, an IP43 illuminator, and a wireless remote.
The wall fittings are made of PVC with a white or chrome color finish and come with either a 30 or 60-degree lens option for light dispersion. The body is available in a non-thread body for concrete pools or a threaded type for fiberglass pools. Connection into a 60mm (2.36") diameter PVC pipe with appropriate sealants used.
The IP43-rated illuminator is of stainless steel 304 construction and is typically stored in the pool pump room. Alternatively, it can be installed in outdoor environments or in a pit with ventilation. A 130-watt LED light source delivers the light to the fiber cable for an efficient and long-life LED of approximately 30,000 hours.
The illuminator has 6 colors that cycle through, or a single color can be chosen to set the desired mood. The illuminator is operated via a wireless remote but can be integrated into home lighting automation systems.
