How to Feel Truly at Home

How to Feel Truly at Home

Yesterday was a 1 year anniversary since moving to the tiny village in the Wild Wild West of down South Portugal.?

Time. Freaking. Flies.

Doesn’t it?! ??

As I was reflecting what these 12 months brought, among lots of various lessons and experiences, the one thing that stood out was CONNECTION.

Living in an isolated place with a hundred locals can be challenging to say the least...

It requires courage, determination, self confidence and faith to feel comfortable living on your own in a place where chances to meet new people (even more so - like-minded people) can be pretty slim.

And yet, TRUE connection can happen anywhere.

And we all want connection.

We all want to feel significant.

We all want a sense of belonging.

We all want to feel loved, cared for, supported.

Don’t YOU?

So these are the two things required for that true connection to emerge:?

  1. Having a crystal clear vision how you want to FEEL on a daily basis, thus, what type of energy you are willing to ALLOW into your world. In other words, you may interact with daily situations and people with an open heart welcoming new experiences with a spontaneous and curious attitude, but you may only resonate and invite frequencies which are a match to what you envision. E.g. if you want to feel elevated, joyful and peaceful, then spend more time with people who embody that and ignite that energy within you. This will become an organic perpetuation of the energy you’ve wanted to be driven by all along.?
  2. Becoming comfortable to open up to people no matter how you think they might react. Being the real, raw, authentic YOU means not holding yourself back, not hiding behind an image of who you think you’re supposed to be, instead, owning your truth and feeling safe to be who you truly are. All of you - the “good” and the “bad”. And although it might seem different at first, it is a part of the high frequency you desire to live in, which requires vulnerability, self acceptance and deep alignment.

When you're connected within - you find it easy to connect with the external world.?

When you accept who you are - you accept people as they are.

When you love yourself unconditionally - you love life no matter what it dumps at you.

When you allow yourself to feel - you allow emotions to flow through you, as if a stream of energy was flowing without getting stuck.

Connect with yourself first, and you'll connect with others.

And that’s what makes TRUE CONNECTION possible - the place where you feel truly at home.

What does home mean to you? Do you feel connected? Are you aligned?

Wonderful for sure….I too live in a small town, have enjoyed figuring out myself and the new connections I make …but my true heart belongs to Philadelphia mainly because of the huge variety of people, their nationality, roots, beliefs that I got to be exposed to. I do miss the city of “brotherly love”, diversity!!! Be safe my friend!!!????
