How fear of asking 4 help from We Care Food Pantry #Deptford is greater than accepting help

We Care Food Pantry is one week old at its new home at Kaths Place 50 Friendly street Deptford SE84DR with our years of running a food bank the new hub allows us to run the food bank from the basement which we hope later will become a community kitchen that those who love to cook and live in housing conditions that do not make cooking an option can come cook a family meal , share their recipes from across the globe with the surplus used to sell through our community cafe once we have got through Covid restrictions.

People do not seem to realise that many in our community are self employed , running small business with zero access to public funds and the magic money tree, whilst many on low pay or getting huge cuts to their weekly, monthly wages from 30-40% cut , this 30% is oftern what most people needed for food , so our food pantry welcomes everyone struggerling to put food on the table, you do not need vouchurs or referal , just ID and 5 minutes of your time to join the membership club, which is how food pantry models work.., it costs just ￡1 a year to join and a small contribution each time you come to collect a weekly shop , which includes, food, fruit, veg, toiletries, baby milk etc , with NO Government or Council funding its this charity shop model that gives us the cash to buy the food and pay the rent to stop huge numbers of our neighbours starving to death, We do not bite, you do not need to feel any shame seeking help and support , i hope this little film you will see what an inspiring community project Kaths Place is, that offers advice and support as well as food and solidarity, coming up to Christmas and a tough winter if those that can can donate to our go fund me page here GoFundMe https://gf.me/u/x8m3fw  We also have a contract to help people tackle high energy bills, if we can reduce YOUR bills and this is open to everyone, you get pay ￡20 if you are happy with the savings, and we earn ￡20 , so drop by the shop and see what we are doing to help everyone in our community
