? Music as medicine
Do you often feel that life is just passing you by??
Then you need to master one thing to slow it down. And that's living in the present.
Living in our modern era we are swung from side to side. If you feel consumed by thoughts of your past, your future and all of the chaos that comes at us day to day, you aren't alone. That's why actively cultivating stillness, tuning in and being hyper-focused on what's going on right here, right now is a muscle we need to train every day.
What we repeat, we become. So are you repeating habits of learning how to calm your nervous system, open up space to deeply listen and strip away all of the superficial running around? How often are you engulfed by a state of awareness on what really matters?
Once you start to see every minute of every day as an opportunity to be present, it becomes easier and easier to build a life that you feel deeply rooted in. And that's what I'm rooting for us all to strive for.
WHAT WE'RE READING
Befriend your shadows
Whether we actively reflect on it or not, we all have parts of ourselves we prefer to keep hidden. These are our shadows. And often they can have a lot more control over our life than we like when we don't take a deep look at them.?
It might sound crazy, but when we become friends with our shadows, we can truly start to become an integrated human. But it takes work. Luckily Stephanie Kirby is here to help you do it with “A Guide To Shadow Work”. This book is not about theory, but about mucking in and asking the right questions. Are you ready to face your shadow?

A REMINDER TO BE
Last week in the northern hemisphere, we experienced the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year.
Summer Solstice is historically a tradition to celebrate and give gratitude to the light that supports our very existence.?
The most magical thing about the Solstice?is that it's a global moment.
It’s not a day, or a time (like the New Year), which is celebrated at various times throughout the day as the Earth rotates through its time zones.??
The Solstice happens at an exact moment; the same moment everywhere on Earth. (In the southern hemisphere this is actually the moment of their Winter Solstice.)
A reminder that we are all connected under one sky.

WHAT WE'RE LISTENING TO
?Music is medicine
Music has been used for centuries to help people relax and improve overall well-being.
Brain imaging studies reveal that music works at a deep level stimulating not only the parts responsible for processing but also those associated with emotions.
This beautiful song by Marconi Union called “Weightless” has been proven to induce a 65% reduction in anxiety.
Dr. David Lewis, a leading stress analyst, said that this song induced the greatest relaxation among all the music tested to date.
