Writer's block? Is it real or a made-up concept? How to face it? ??Let's decode
Google defines writer's block as the condition of being unable to think of what to write or how to proceed with writing. It is a phantom that can haunt or even halt the productivity of your content writers. And yes it's very much real. In my experience, denying writers' block only prolongs the impasse, instead, I suggest facing it head-on. ??
Types of writers' block
1) Fear Factor??: The fear of writing can feel like a vicious circle. You don't trust your creative abilities and so you spiral into self-doubt, which makes it hard for the next step in creating anything new or interesting. Expectations versus reality ha? ??
Hack: Understand that everyone has off days, or doesn’t always perform as expected. True even for Avengers ??. Take a break and regain confidence.
2) Creativity Congestion??: Creative people are often faced with the challenge of managing too many ideas or concepts. In marketing, this is known as “creativity congestion”- it can happen to even those most seasoned marketers who have an abundance going on at any given moment!
Hack: To get by creativity congestion, you have to focus on one lane, namely just what you’re writing at the moment. Chuck the rest!
3) Apathy overflow ??: Lack of interest in the topic causes this overflow. It is often easy to lose that feeling of inspiration.

Hack: The only way out? If you can't find a feeling, look at what your buyer personas are going through and focus on that. If there is no emotion present in the room for writing about then pick up some good vibes from ?? ?? music.
4) The deadline ??: You could also call this form of writer’s block death by deadlines, or getting cooked by pressure. If you encounter this, immediately stop everything. Go grab a ?? coffee, take a walk or talk to your friends. It will prevent you to sink any deeper.
5) Empty basket ??: This happens when you do not have enough information about the topic you are writing about. Do the necessary ?? research to get the information you need. If too much information is available and you are not able to calibrate, speak with an expert to tighten your research. It helps!
Although I have tried to cover all the major nuances, there can be other reasons or examples of writers' block. Being a marketer and handling a team of content writers for over a decade, I have realized, that whenever you see this in your team, always give a breathing space to your writers.
Writing is an art and you not only need an artist but a creative artist to make it perfectly splendid. ??
