How an ex-action sports executive went from selling board shorts to baguettes French cafe Moulin, run by, to open second restaurant

Former action sports executive Laurent Vrignaud was a rookie in the restaurant industry when he opened a French cafe in 2014.

But he was an expert in what mattered the most: Parisian cafe culture.

“Nobody will out-Paris us,” Vrignaud said of his two-year-old Moulin bistro in Newport Beach.

He is now expanding his authentic French cafe concept to Laguna Beach.
