There is a question that pops up in nearly every coaching session:
'What’s the right price for my offer?'
Yep, it’s that common, and yes, it’s that important.
Today, I want to share 3 simple steps to make sure your offer's price hits the mark.
First, a word of caution:
Avoid setting your price based purely on gut feeling or because it's what you "think" people will pay.
This approach might seem straightforward, but it can lead to charging too little or too much…
Both leave money on the table and may scare potential customers away.
Here’s a simple plan to validate your offer:
1. Understand your value
Start by clearly defining the unique benefits and results your offer delivers.
Ask yourself, “what specific problem am I solving and how does this improve my clients' lives or businesses?”
Example: If you’re a business coach, quantify the potential revenue increase or time savings your clients can expect.
2. Test your price with real feedback
Ask your target market what they think about your price.
Use surveys or just chat with them.
Get specific, ask if they feel the price is fair for the value provided.
Example: Create a simple Google Form survey with your offer details and ask, "How much would you pay for this solution?"
3. Sell them on the need, not the extras
Develop a sales pitch that focuses on the needs of your clients, not just the features of your product or service.
When you talk about your offer, focus on how it solves their pain points.
Example: Instead of saying "Our course includes 10 modules on financial planning," say "Our course helps you secure your financial future, giving you peace of mind in less than three months."
Quick test: Once you've set your price and crafted your message, test it.
Try selling your offer at your set price to a few people from your target group.
See how they react.
Are they interested? Do they hesitate?
Use their feedback to tweak things before a full launch.
If you've struggled before with offers that didn’t hit the mark, validating your offer like this removes the guesswork and builds confidence.
Not just in your prices, but in your entire package.
Imagine launching your next offer knowing it’s something people are excited about and willing to pay for.
That’s what effective validation can do for you.
