How to Ensure Child Care is Safe
Childcare is a very emotive topic. Working parents are obliged to find appropriate childcare for our children, usually with childminders or nannies. Just like teachers, childminders and nannies are required to undergo childcare registration, regulated by Ofsted. Ofsted inspects any service that cares for children and young people, which reassures parents of a 'safe' service.
Once on the Childcare Register, child carers can expect an Ofsted inspection once every two - three years. Additionally, part of a child carer’s compliance to Ofsted regulations includes the requirement to obtain First Aid certification. From a parent’s perspective, it is really comforting to know that your child carer is certified to deliver First Aid. This means that should your child be involved in an accident, your child carer can competently step in.
To summarise, safe childcare can be found through the proper registration process. This is enhanced by certification in our Paediatric First Aid (Highfield) course, which we offer to child carers including parents. Why not sign up to our accredited course at the Link below:-
