How to ensure Adaptation, Change Management and Risk Management by Grooming ?
In the Groom Prioritized Product Backlog process the Prioritized Product Backlog is continuously updated and maintained.
Adaptation: Risk identification is performed and iterated throughout the project. Identified risks become INPUTS to several Scrum processes including the Groom Prioritized Product Backlog. Improvements can also result in Change Requests, which are discussed and approved during the Groom Prioritized Product Backlog process.
Change Management: The prioritization of requirements and work in a Scrum project is always determined based on the value provided to the customer. When a request is made for a new requirement or a change to an existing one, it is evaluated during the Groom Prioritized Product Backlog process. If the change is deemed to provide more value than other existing requirements, it will be added and prioritized accordingly in the updated Prioritized Product Backlog.
Risk Management: The Scrum Team members should attempt to identify all risks that could potentially impact the project. Risk Identification is done throughout the project and mitigation items for Identified Risks are incorporated in the Product Backlog during the Groom Prioritized Product Backlog process.
The intent of the?#Groom?#Prioritized?#Product?#Backlog?process is to ensure that User Stories and Acceptance Criteria reflect the actual stakeholder (customer) requirements and priorities.
