How has ENH helped in the implementation of SailPoint Identity IQ for the fintech industry?

In this article, we will discuss how a financial company based in the Middle East deals with the daunting task of manually creating and managing vendor accounts. ENH has successfully implemented SailPoint Identity IQ to address the challenges of manual vendor account creation and management. The organization's IT team was manually creating Active Directory (AD) accounts for vendors, leading to time-consuming processes and difficulties in maintaining the correct organizational units for multiple vendors. The rehire process also resulted in the creation of duplicate accounts. Communication with the HR team and application owners was lacking, as it had to be done manually via email. The implementation automated the process of on-boarding, off-boarding, and rehiring vendors through form-based provisioning and de-provisioning using SailPoint IIQ.?

Challenge:

The company faced challenges with the manual creation of vendor accounts, including time-consuming processes and difficulties in maintaining the correct organizational units for multiple vendors. Additionally, duplicate accounts were being created in the Active Directory during the rehire process. Communication with the HR team and other application owners was also lacking, as it had to be done via manual email communication.

Solution:

Implementation:

Following are the steps included in implementing Vendor account provisioning via SailPoint IIQ:

  • A form was created to enter the required vendor details by the Helpdesk team. For vendors, OU was populated automatically; There was no need to input manually.
  • The service desk/help desk team entered the details along with the project name, job title, vendor company, and vendor phone number.
  • The automated provisioning of AD accounts was completed after submitting the form.
  • The account and all the attributes given in the form will be established in Active Directory based on the vendor selected.
  • Once the accounts are created , an email notification of the provisioning or deprovisioning of accounts is sent to HR and other stakeholders to continue with the next set of business processes.

Takeaways:

The main takeaway from the article is that SailPoint IdentityIQ can automate manual business processes related to vendor and user lifecycle management. It allows for centralized control and governance of vendor entitlements, providing additional visibility for organizations.
