How to enable or disable Email and Mobile alerts from HDFC Bank through HDFC Mobile Banking App

In this article we will learn to Enable or Disable HDFC Bank Email and Mobile Alerts using HDFC Mobile Banking App.


Step-1

Log in to the HDFC Mobile Banking App. You would see below screen. Click on three lines at the top left corner. (Red circled for easy identification)


Step-2

Once you click on three lines, you would see below screen. Now click on ‘Your Profile’. (Red circled for easy identification)


Step-3

Once you click on ‘Your Profile’, you would see below screen. Now click on ‘Manage Alerts’. (Red circled for easy identification)


Step-4

Once you click on ‘Manage Alerts’, you would see below screen, if you have not enabled any of the alerts.

Now tap on the button given against that alert which you want to enable (Buttons are Red circled for easy identification).

Now see the below picture. When you tap the button to enable the alert, button becomes Blue from white and you see 3 Alert Modes to select from, Email, SMS or Both. ‘Email’ mode would be by default selected that is why it would be shown in Blue Color. If you want SMS alerts instead of Email, select ‘SMS’, or, if you want to receive both, the Email and SMS alerts, select ‘Both’.


If you want to disable any alert already enable, still you need to tap the button given against that alert. But this time it would become White from Blue. For butter understanding see the above picture. Here, Email Alerts for ‘Balance Change’ is already enable. That is why button against it is in Blue color. Now, if we want to disable this alert, we need to tap on the blue Button, after which, Button would become ‘White’.


There are some Alerts, for which you need to do one more step. Let us see those alerts below with screenshots:

Periodic Balance Check:

For this alert, you also need to select the ‘Frequency’ of the alert from the drop down menu. You can choose out of ‘Weekly’, ‘Monthly’ and ‘Yearly’. Refer the below screen shot for better understanding.


Balance Below Set Amount:

For this alert, you also need to select the ‘Balance amount’ out of 5000, 10000, 20000, 50000. When the balance would go below the selected amount, you would get an alert.


Credit above Set Amount:

For this alert, you also need to select the ‘Transaction amount’ out of 5000, 10000, 20000, 50000. When the Credit Transaction amount would be above the selected amount, you would get an alert.


Debit above Set Amount:

For this alert, you also need to select the ‘Transaction amount’ out of 5000, 10000, 20000, 50000. When the Debit Transaction amount would be above the selected amount, you would get an alert.


After, enabling and disabling the alerts as per your requirements, you need to click on ‘DONE’ at the bottom (Red circled for easy identification).


Step-5

Once you click on ‘DONE’, you would see below screen. This screen would confirm that your alerts have been updated successfully.
