How to Enable 2-Step Verification on LinkedIn (Step-by-Step)

Before we get started, you need to have your mobile phone (the one with its number linked to your LinkedIn account) in hand.?

You’ve got it, yes?

So, here’s how you can turn on 2-step verification on LinkedIn in seven easy steps.

Step 1

Click Me and select Settings & Privacy.

Step 2

Click Sign in & Security and select Two-step verification.

Step 3

Click Set up.

Step 4

Enter the six-digit code LinkedIn sends to your primary email address and hit Submit.?

Step 5

Choose Phone Number (SMS) and click Continue.

Step 6

Select your phone number, enter your LinkedIn password, and click Send code.

Step 7

Enter the 6-digit PIN you received on your phone and click Verify.

That’s it. You’ve got your security on lock now.?

And here’s what it means.?

Anytime you log into your LinkedIn account from a new device, you’ll need to enter the verification code sent to your phone to confirm it’s you…and not a hacker who’s out to make your life miserable.
