There?is no wander that anyone thinking about writing a CV or a Cover letter are by now totally confused of how to start, what to say about themselves, which format is correct to us and perhaps one of the most request concerns of the CV is how long should it be.?

Looking for the right job to start your career is a process that includes preparing your experience journey through a CV and Cover letter. You have to keep in mind that, the only purpose of a CV and Cover letter is to get an interview. So your CV and cover letter needs to be crafted in the way that it sells your abilities and provide the required skills and experience needed in the job market in a concise and compelling way.?

Step 1: In writing your CV, you need to defined the brand points that makes you unique

Your brand points are actually the foundation of your CV and Cover letter it compose the summary of your history (professional journey).

To get it right, there are two important things to remember when creating your CV:

1.?????Tell your brand story

2.?????Your brand points should be clear at a glance.

For example let say your three brands points are,

v?Leadership experience

v?Academic excellence, and

v?Communication service.

These three brand points make up your brand story. That means in crafting your CV and Cover letter these are the central points to use to descript.

Step 2: Choosing a CV format.

Now that you have the foundation of your CV, message or three brand points, it’s time to choose a format.

It’s encouraged that, students and young professionals who have been working for close to five years or less not to exceed one page for your CV.

In some cases, it may be difficult to keep all of your experience and accomplishments to one page.

So choose the format that best tell your brand story. The format should be easy to read like

?Arial or Time New Roman. Time New Roman is more traditional.

It’s best to use 12 points type or 11 points type for easy of readability. If you need a little more space on your CV, consider adjusting the margins slightly, keeping 0.7 for each margin.
