This is How Elon Musk Plans on Changing Twitter

Amongst the many companies Elon has created and owned, Twitter has recently become one of his most controversial purchases.?

The 50-year-old billionaire business magnate has been trending on every social media platform (primarily Twitter) for a few years now, especially in the last few days since his proposal to buy Twitter for 44 billion dollars was agreed upon.

But why buy the entire social media platform rather than stick to being a board member with a 9% stake in the company?

Elon’s vision for the future has always been about building a sustainable and peaceful world for humanity.?

A part of his belief is that a country shouldn’t be a democracy if people do not have the freedom to express what they want and how they feel.

According to him, free speech is the ‘bed rock’ of a working democracy and it should never be taken away from the people.

After fully acquiring Twitter, the main item on the agenda is to remove the censorship policy and enable freedom of speech for all.

He did specify in his recent tweet that when he mentioned ‘freedom of speech’ he meant that it would have to abide by the country's laws.

He plans on making the platform ‘politically neutral’ and not favouring the leftists or rightists. He hopes that this will help regain the trust of the people.

The second item on the agenda is to make changes to the algorithm and make it open source for transparency, i.e. people can access it on Github and make changes to it if they find any flaws.

This decision was taken because other platforms like Facebook and Tiktok wield enormous influence and don’t reveal the data that they retrieve from the users.

Experts predict that this move could lead to numerous issues in terms of cybersecurity and can be misused easily.?

He also wants to make sure that users can edit their tweets after they post them, which is currently unavailable in the application.

The main issue on Twitter has always been the activity and existence of spambots and other unauthorised accounts that are made with a particular plan in mind to spread false information and propaganda.

Elon plans to eliminate these bots and ensure every user is given the blue tick by verifying all the accounts and details while signing up for the app.

While all these enormous changes sound appealing to the people, the real question is whether he will be able to pull it all off and how it would turn out if he did.?

As a man who has repeatedly proved people wrong over the last few years, his fans and admirers seem to be optimistic about the future of social media!?
