If you’re frustrated with your inability to concentrate, feelings of sluggishness most of the time, and extreme brain fog...
Finding yourself forgetting the most bizarre things, like an extremely obvious word in a sentence, or where you left your keys, only to open the fridge and find them in there… ??
If you’re finding that your brain seems to be a few steps behind…
And you know there’s another level that you could be performing at…
But your biochemistry, particularly your brain just does not seem up-to speed.??
Then read closely because this post could change your life.
We are all told the same things and believe the same story: that when we get old, we just stop working as well, and we have no choice about it.
We are told that progressively, over time, we will slow down in a linear way, and that father-time will slowly degrade us, until we are useless...
We are also told that we simply must “will” our way through life, and that we should suck it up and keep pushing. “Suck it up buttercup,” we are told.
What if I told you that you did not have to “will” your way through life...??
And that although the passing of time is inevitable, you do not have to experience fatigue, sluggishness, and brain fog associated with age?
I know somewhere deep inside, you are sick of chugging along with all your might...
Each and every day with what seems like a dark cloud smothering your brain… ??
I know the confusion and anxiety associated with your sub-optimal state...
Especially because you work-out hard and consistently...
You try your best to eat clean...
You practice healthy habits...
Yet you still seem to always be one step behind, foggy and lethargic...
I have the fix.
Yes. You don’t have to feel:
1?? Tired
?The 2 o clock feeling at 6 AM, 7 AM, 8 AM, 9 AM
?Constant lack of mental clarity
?Sleep that is not rejuvenating at all
?Constant feeling of BLAH, sluggishness, or malaise
?Exhausted after spending time in a noisy or chaotic environment
2??Forgetful
?Forgetting important dates & events over and over
?Asking the same questions
?Relying on memory aids more than necessary
?Keeping track of bills
?Pausing while speaking to think of the right word
?Keeping track of your phone, keys, purse, wallet, losing your train of thought
3?? Like the Cookie Monster
?Craving a food fix all the time
?A strong desire to eat sweets, particularly after a meal
?Cranky as a baby when you get hungry. Carly Vanzino
4?? A Lack of Focus
?Interrupting others during conversations
?A wandering mind when trying to concentrate
?A difficulty staying organized
?Jumping around from topic to topic in the middle of a conversation
?Going on social media after each email you send or breath you take
5?? Moody
?A constant desire to say “fluck-you”
?Lack of patience
?Restlessness
How do I know?
Because I went on a damn crusade to figure it out…
Just like you, I was shot.
Burnt out, foggy as they come, unfocused, moody as they get, with a highly active middle finger...
I could not get out of bed EVERY-SINGLE morning without it being a struggle.
I’m talking about 6 alarm clocks on my phone. ?
I’m talking about an alarm clock that runs away from me.
Literally an alarm clock with wheels on it.
I’m talking about a shock bracelet on my wrist that is connected with Bluetooth to my phone alarm that shocks me when my alarm goes off.
That’s how difficult it was for me to wake up...
I’m talking about forgetting my mom’s birthday when asked - that kind of brain dead. ??
I’m talking about saying F**K you to innocent strangers that walked by and simply said hello.
That kind of impulsiveness.
During this period of my life:
?I have put cereal boxes, my own keys, and remote controls in the fridge.
?I could not remember my the date of my Mom’s birthday, when someone asked
?I had raging mood swings
? I could not finish typing ONE sentence without feeling distracted
?I lost my wallet 4 times within the span of 6 months. [Thank you to all the wonderful humans that returned it]
What was wrong with me is the same thing that is impacting you. Your brain is not functioning properly.
Your brain is the captain of your life.
Your brain is what controls your entire perceptive experience in this world.
Imagine a car with a pristine transmission, an amazing suspension, and beautiful body, but faulty engine…
The car is useless.
That’s what life is like without a functioning brain.
The good news for you, is that your brain’s health is in your hands. [Technically your head, but you get it]
The brain is neuroplastic, which means that it is MALLEABLE, just like your muscles. ????
If you train it, provide it the correct sources of energy, and eliminate all the bad things that debilitate its function, you will be yourself again, PLUS more.
The shifts that will occur?
? You will go from being foggy to being clear and focused, able to think of the right word at the right time, and able to stay on task.
? Your mood will go from being more volatile than a roller coaster to stable and in YOUR control.
? You will go from being in survival mode all the time just “trying to get through the day,” to excited and reinvigorated in life.
? You will go from being EXHAUSTED and wanting to sleep all the time, to highly energized, ready to workout twice a day, a beast at your workplace, and excited to serve others, and spend time with your family.
Here are 5 ways to optimize your brain:
1?? Get Control of your Smartphone Habits
If the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning is check your phone, you are legitimately messing your brain up...
By looking at your phone in the morning, you are inevitably scrolling.
First of all, this constant exposure to a bunch of different stimuli provided by the phone [social media, texts, and emails], REWIRES your brain so that it cannot focus on one stimuli.
Yes – your BRAIN will literally change in structure which will create a corresponding change in function...
Think of it like this – small muscles are generally weaker muscles. Big muscles are generally stronger muscles. ????♀?
Your brain’s structure and function work the EXACT same way.
Additionally, by scrolling in the morning, your brain will legitimately allocate glucose, or in other words, physical energy towards things that don’t freaking matter…
Which will leave you more tired than you otherwise would have been, from the second your day starts!
This applies to all other times of the day as well.
During periods where you need to apply deep focus, keeping your phone with you will allow you to check it during any moment where you are uncomfortable.
Programming your brain to get a quick dopamine hit every time you have to think a little deeply…
Until it becomes a vicious habit you cannot break. ??
As discussed before, there is a structural change associated with this.
This is known as hypofrontality, where the front part of your brain, the prefrontal cortex, responsible for feelings of pleasure, motivation, and focus, gets smaller and smaller the less focus you exercise.
So if by focusing less and getting distracted reduces the function of the area that is needed to focus, it becomes harder and harder to focus…
Additionally – keep your phone out of the bedroom at night. Your body, and brain are bioelectric. ?
Whenever you have a thought, your neurons fire off an electrical impulse.
Now imagine your brain's communication like a radio.
If there is static, the ability to communicate goes down, as messages become blurry.
UMF radiation, can have a similar effect, and it can really take a toll on your clarity the next day.
Trust me on this one, and try it - sleep without your phone in your room, and buy a real alarm clock.
2?? More Antioxidants – Less Brain Fog
Imagine a garden filled with healthy seeds, sunlight, amazing soil, access to water, and everything needed for a tree to grow…
Except one issue…
There was a parasite destroying everything in sight. ??
When energy is created in your cells, a toxic byproduct can be left behind called reactive oxygen species, or free radicals, which can be compared to the parasite.
Free radicals, can damage your body and brain, wreak havoc to your health, and make you feel foggy, tired, and possibly depressed.
Antioxidants neutralize the effects of these free radicals tremendously, and thus you may want to consider increasing your antioxidant intake with your diet, and supplementally.
Foods high in antioxidants:
?Dark Chocolate
?Pecans
?Blueberries
?Strawberries
?Artichokes
Antioxidant Supplements
?Glutathione
?Alpha Lipoic Acid
?Resveretrol
?PQQ
?CoQ10
3??Toxins are Stoooooopid
Brain fog and dysfunction are truly a result of inefficient energy production and allocation.
Anything that gets in the way of this is a big no-no.
Environmental toxins, like chemicals, pollutants, and unnecessary stimuli are to be eliminated if you want to feel like a savage again! ??
Examples of toxins:
??Lead, Mercury, Radon, Formaldehyde, benzene, cadmium
?? Artificial sweeteners
?? UMF Radiation from your cell-phone
?? Shitty People
For the heavy metals, my biggest suggestion without being over the top, is do whatever you can to eat REAL food.
Not artificial nonsense, but REAL food. ????????????
I also suggest use encapsulated forms of supplements as opposed to powders with artificial sweeteners.
For the UMF Radiation from your cell-phone. Take it out of your room when you sleep.
For the negative, cynical, and cancerous people in your life - you need to realize that as bioenergetic creatures, we take on the energy of the people around us.
If you have cynicism around you, you will become negative.
In fact, a recent study showed the physiologic effects of complaining on the brain; its not pretty.
Your brain will shrink, and you will feel foggy, negative, and in a lowered mood creating a negative feedback loop.
4?? Meditate
I have discussed meditation in many of my posts, and I will continue to do so...
Because it is one of the most life-changing practices someone can introduce into their lives.
The whole act of meditating is based on the premise of centering your awareness on one thing, and one thing only.
If our brain constantly shifting from stimulus to stimulus in a frenzied way, it will very quickly physiologically shift to support this type of behavior.
Meditation wires our brain to be the exact opposite of this.
Meditation as a practice forces us to stay focused on only what is in front of us, and only what we choose.
By introducing this practice into your life every day, you will feel more centered and correspondingly:
?Improve your mood as anxiety will fade away
?Feel more focused because your brain is not all over the place
?Feel less stressed as your brain is less excited
?Be cognitively sharper as there’s no clutter in the way of the necessary thoughts.
5?? Nootropics
Humans have created technology for a reason.
Supplementation is technology for health, and I am a firm believer that if you want to take your brain to the next level, a quality nootropic supplement is key.
All the other tips I just discussed are necessary to bring you to baseline.
Nootropics, or cognitive enhancement supplements will bring you above baseline cognition.
In ways that food, meditation, or coffee cannot, nootropics will, in a healthy way, improve focus, increase verbal fluency, and quite possibly improve your memory.
If you are educated on nootropics, make your own stack, which is a group of ingredients put together.
If not, a pre-designed stack could be a great option.
I take lots of pride in QUANTUMiND, which is my nootropic formula because quite frankly...
It's a great freaking product that everyone needs to try.
I wish I could sit here and say it was an average product and I was an amazing salesman, but really, the thing that’s selling it is it’s quality.
When picking a nootropic, make sure that you pick a supplement with an ethical founder, no proprietary blends, and made for a specific function.
A few great products are:
?? QUANTUMiND by Filtered Formulas
?? Zenith by my man Will Whitlock. Founder of Leviathan Nutrition
?? Nootrol by my friend Jonah Allen, Founder of Black Lion Research.

Next time your energy is low...
You feel foggy, unfocused, or anxious.
You have the power and responsibility to fix it.
Here are 5-proven ways.
Use them.
Let's keep crushing it team! ??
