HOW EFFICIENCY EQUALS IMPACT
If you were to ask me how to get downtown, I would give you several options: highway, back roads, subway, a bus, walk, or even ride a bike. The destination was your goal, but you never gave me an expectation of the journey.?Let’s dive into this week’s Beyond The 615 Column, article # 97.
One option to get downtown, or to help your radio breaks, is efficiency; the most direct route that doesn’t waste anyone’s time. It’s what you want the Waze APP to suggest when you’re in a hurry. In no way am I suggesting that efficiency is the ONLY way… it’s simply one tool for your tool belt.
3 EFFICIENT IDEAS
1. Use 7 words instead of 15.
2. TRY 3 sentences instead of 8.
3. Don’t go down a bunny trail that the stalls the journey.
HERES THE TAKEAWAY
It’s common to do a little Spring cleaning this time of year. So, while you’re dusting the baseboards or cleaning out the garage, you may as well tidy up your radio show too.
A little more efficiency might help clean-up longer breaks and make you more consumable, in turn, making you more memorable. Impact is rarely about the amount of time spent, but what happens in the time it takes.?
