How to effectively structure own life.
Over the years, I've adapted various corporate frameworks to plan and structure my life, crystallising both qualitative and quantitative goals and monitoring my progress towards them. Today, I'd like to share with you the model I've developed, which I hope you'll find both interesting and practical. This model has evolved from my dissatisfaction with life, leading me through chaotic attempts at achievement to a structured approach that keeps me focused on what truly matters. It consists of five main components, each interlocked in cycles, working in tandem to complement one another:
When it comes to values and your mission, it may take you years to unhide your philosophy and principles exactly, but I strongly advise you not to neglect this stage at any stage of your life. When defining your values and mission, take the time to reflect on who you are and what you want to achieve. Consider questions such as: What actions align with my goals? What will I never do in pursuing my goals? What activities energise me? Clarifying these aspects is crucial for understanding your guiding principles and values.
For instance, here are my mission and values:
Who am I? What is my mission? I am an entrepreneur driven by a passion for problem-solving and serving people around me.
What kind of person do I want to be?

Based on these values, my entrepreneurial pursuits aim to:
The next step involves identifying the key areas of your life that align with your mission. Remember to include sources of energy and emotional balance, such as family, hobbies, and health care. The emotional side of life is critical; without it, your development will sooner or later stall. To visualise areas, I usually use mind-mapping tools to structure and decompose selected ones.
When setting goals, consider both qualitative and quantitative aspects. Visualise your life in the distant future and only then establish concrete parameters. In this step, imagination comes first. Ideally, you need to feel your new position, love it, and find sources of motivation to transform yourself into your own new version.
Once your goals are defined, create a plan outlining the necessary steps to achieve them. Conduct a GAP analysis to identify any knowledge or skill gaps and take proactive measures to address them. I’m planning to bring a project to a new market, but I don’t know anything about it - learning the language, getting to know the local community, making connections. It’s difficult for me to make any decisions, and it takes me too much energy to do it - let’s go to a coach or psychotherapist and analyse what unconscious attitudes are hindering me. And so on.
Finally, establish regular intervals for assessing your progress and adjusting your plans, crucial areas or even values accordingly. This could range from daily check-ins on short-term tasks to annual reflections on overarching life aspects. Create a proper monitoring system. For example, to monitor financial goals for well-being, I draw up my personal financial balance sheet with listed assets and liabilities, just like any company. Equity is growing, which means that we are moving in the right direction overall and vice versa.
In conclusion, while it may be tempting to focus solely on immediate concerns, which are, by the way, completely normal and could bring some results, adopting a holistic approach to personal development yields long-term benefits. Embrace the journey of self-discovery and growth, and remember that development is not a destination but a continuous process of becoming a more complex and fulfilled individual.
