How to edit images in Canva for content writing?

Nowadays many companies ask writers if they know basic Canva for editing images. I didn't know Canva when I started but in one company they asked me and taught me how to edit images in Canva. It’s really easy. I thought it was really hard and got nervous about what if I won't be able to learn but then I did. So today I want to tell how a content writer can learn Canva. It was not as hard as I thought.?

First, don't install the application it works well on the website canva.com. When you open it for the first time it will show you some messages to ask if you want to take a tour or not. You can do it if you want. The homepage will look like this.

I also wanted to know the traffic of the website and checked it to know how many people use it. And they have 201.5M traffic according to ahrefs.com.?

You won't have recent designs and might also get confused when you first see the page i got confused too. Now let’s start with how to create images for posting on social media platforms or blogs.?

• First of all, you will be able to see the types of designs like Instagram post(square) and others.?

• With this, you have to figure out for what platform you want to create a post.?
• The best option to choose for making images for blogs is custom. You can keep size 1250*675. You can also add your own custom size.
• You can also upload images directly from the gallery and edit them.?

How to create an image for social media on canva?

• You have to click on the Instagram post (square). This page will be opened.

• Then you have to add text to find the right template according to your topic. For eg, we can take content writing.?
• Add content writing in the search bar and it will show you many templates free and premium.?

Tip: You won't be able to save images if you use premium templates or elements. So if you want to save click on ctrl and + on the keyword and your screen will be zoomed take a screenshot with the Windows icon and PrtSc on the keyboard and crop it.?

• So I chose a content writing-related template.

• Next, you have to make changes in the content, graphics, change the picture, and color the way you want.?

• You can add graphics, photos, videos, etc from the elements menu.?
• Add text from the text menu. You can also change text color, font, etc by clicking on font. It will show you a small menu.

• You can choose templates from the design menu on top. You can add the template you like.?
• After you are satisfied with your image you can download it by clicking on Share > download > download.?

Tip: you can select the file size you want. It is PNG by default but if you click on it it shows you other types.?

• You can also edit multiple images on one page just add another page and edit it.
• You can click on the add page below to create the new page.

• But keep one thing in mind while saving. Deselect other options or it will save all your images as pdf. Select the page you want to download. And then click on download.?

So, that’s it!! It might be hard when you start but once you understand and start using everything this basic Canva will help you to create images for your content. You can also add it in your resume that you know basic editing in Canva.?
