How on earth does painting a nail end violence against children?

Over the weekend we received a really colourful email from Todd Ward to [email protected]. It went along the lines of:
You retards,
Another liberal feel good idea that doesn't actually do shit......
Thank you for taking the time to email us, Todd. I appreciate the time you took to provide such eloquent feedback about why the Polished Man campaign is destined to fail in its objective to end violence against children.
Well Todd, you probably also thought pouring a bucket of ice over your head wouldn't end motor neuron disease, but what I can tell you is that it raised $115m to fund research and help find a cure.
You probably also thought growing a moustache in November looked pointless, but it's raised $685m and has helped lift the stigma on men's health.
You probably also thought wearing a red nose was just some pointless pop culture trend, but incredibly - in the last 30 years - the campaign has raised over $2.1 billion dollars to fund poverty alleviation projects around the world. It was also voted one of the most successful fundraising campaigns of all time!
We know painting a nail won't stop children from being affected by violence. However, you may be surprised to know Todd, it's certainly sparked a conversation about the one in five children affected. In fact, it's sparked a conversation in over 1,531 cities and 150 countries around the world.
Thanks to the support and donations from the generous Polished Men (and their mates) from every corner of the globe, we have already raised over $230k to fund trauma recovery and trauma prevention for children affected by violence (you can read more about where the funds go on the Polished Man website).
Todd, you may think these four actions are "liberal feel good" ideas that don't "actually do shit", but you may be surprised the impact they are having....
Personally, I am blown away by the generous donations I have received which have helped me reach $1,540 (just $460 short of my $2,000 target!), if you are able please support me by donating to me at https://au.polishedman.com/danielcogan

9 年Well said Daniel. At least you are doing a positive action instead of critisising those that are making the difference. It's always easier to take a negative approach but it is those that make the difference that the stance.
