I was reviewing a clients call (We shall call him Fred), and to be fair he is a new client and this was his first "live prospecting call".
Fred struggled through the first part of the call, but did pretty well at keeping this difficult person on track. They were difficult too, they wouldn't listen, they wouldn't just answer the question, basically they were all over the place!
They wanted to earn 5KPM in their network marketing business but were currently unemployed. Of course they had NO problems in their business!!
HHHmmmm something not adding up?
Have you ever had this? Where you just end up wasting an hour of your time basically! Yet you know they are just talking "crap" and could really do with some help!
Then all of a sudden my client just seemed to give up and completely abandon the script...
He asked the question - Why are you on this call?

Of course the reply was - Cause it was free.
From this point on the call went really down hill my client gave up and let the prospect ramble even more and it ended in an obvious manner.
