How Dubai architects are creating the second-tallest skyscraper in the world, complete with a seven-star hotel and a vertical mall
The upcoming Burj Azizi on Sheikh Zayed Road is set to become the world’s second-tallest structure after the Burj Khalifa by Emaar , standing at 725 meters with 132 stories. Scheduled for completion by 2028, this architectural marvel will feature the highest hotel lobby, restaurant, nightclub, observation deck, and hotel room in the world.
Designed by AE7 , the tower will house a vertical mall, a seven-star hotel inspired by cultural themes, residences, wellness centers, and unique attractions like an adrenaline zone. Overcoming challenges in design and construction, the team is optimizing space with innovative solutions, including 44 elevators and multiple entrances.
A tribute to Dubai's spirit of innovation, Burj Azizi will illuminate the city’s skyline with dynamic LED displays, leaving a lasting legacy as a symbol of engineering excellence and architectural ambition.
