For the overall wellbeing of a DSO’s community and the patients it serves, it is essential for #dental professionals to recognize and address #socialdeterminantsofhealth (#SDOH) in dental #patients. Building strong and trusted relationships with patients, DSOs can also improve patients' overall health and community wellness with a simple screening. 4 年Thank you Kim. The way Group dentistry is searching and finding new ways to help people makes me so grateful to be helping.
Connecting people & ideas in positive & impactful ways to improve healthcare.
4 年Thankfully more healthcare professionals are embracing this concept now. And DSOs & supported clinicians are obviously well positioned to act on them. Once a SDOH is diagnosed however, it may require new & innovative treatment options - likely outside of traditional coverage. So carriers must be more flexible with their plans.
