How To Drive Growth Through Sales

I read a tweet from Seye Dele, the CEO at Pade, in that tweet, he said the #1 Skill you need to excel in the business world and any field of study is not coding, content writing, or finance, it's sales.

I strongly agree with him because the most important skill anyone needs to learn is sales! With Sales, you can get the best offer at a Job, you can hire the best talent, get the best deal, and increase your income capacity. Naval, a respected VC once said, learn how to build, learn how to sell, if you can do both, you will be unstoppable.

The truth is, every day, we are selling. If you are trying to negotiate the best deal with a vendor, your employer, etc, you are selling. If you are attracted to a lady and you want her to be your girlfriend, you are selling. If you are trying to raise funds for your startup, you are selling. Everything in life is almost about sales but the question is, how well are you selling?

In the latest episode of MViPodcast, I had a conversation with Edidiong Ekong , a senior sales professional, where we discussed B2B sales and the strategies you can use to drive B2B growth through sales. In the podcast, Edidiong who has worked with companies like Boomplay, Payday, and some of the best businesses in Africa, highlighted the importance of generating quality leads if you want to increase your conversion rate in B2B sales. He also shared actionable points and strategies you can use to get quality leads, how to keep your customers coming back, where to find high paying customers, and so much more!

One thing I found most interesting about this episode is Edidiong's vast wealth of experience in the Sales & Marketing Industry. He went deep into case studies on different brands he has worked with and strategies that he used to help them drive growth through sales.

You should go listen to the latest episode and let me know what you think! Available on Apple Podcast and Spotify.

I listened to this episode about a few weeks ago, so many "aha" and "oho" moments for me. Thank you for making marketing relatable.

I have been thundering this all my life since I came to tech. We have seen products, hardware or software, rot away because of poor sales strategy.

Insightful point about sales skills. But should we prioritize sales over human-centric skills? Questions for thought.
