You must have noticed that every place you go to - home, office, restaurant, grocery store etc has its own vibe / energy. When you enter some places such as a place of worship or someone’s home – you feel really nice, light and happy. Certain other places such as hospitals, cremation grounds, police stations etc have a gloomy / anxious / tense vibe.
What creates the vibe of any place?
It is the cumulative effect of the thoughts and emotions of people who share the space of that place. For instance, the moment you enter certain businesses you feel the energy is dynamic while in others the energy seems stifled. In some companies – you sense integrity and professionalism and in certain others you sense a lack of integrity and ethics.
The culture of an organisation reflects in the vibe of its establishments / offices.
What is culture?
Culture is shaped by the shared beliefs and attitudes of a group or organisation and reflects in the vibe of the place.
How does one consciously create the culture of one’s team / department / organisation?
The leadership of top global companies clearly identifies and articulates the shared values that they believe in and wish the organisation to stand for. Thereafter – the entire business model is built around those agreed upon shared values. People who share similar values as that of the company get attracted to and work with those companies.
General Electric shares a culture of ownership, 3M stands for innovation, and Toyota represents technological excellence. These are global business giants that have stood the test of time and have grown exponentially - by cultivating a culture around certain unique values.
The culture of any organisation is dynamic and continuously evolves based on the interactions amongst its members. To thrive in an ever-evolving global environment it is important for any business organisation to actively drive its culture on a real time basis.
What can companies can do to consciously drive their culture?
- re-evalute the relevance of their core beliefs in the current socio-economic environment,
- map the core beliefs of their team members
- wherever necessary – facilitate shifts in the core beliefs of certain team members
We, at Spoorthi Wellness Programme, partner with institutions and corporates to facilitate shifts in the beliefs of their employees.
We identify and release certain non-beneficial beliefs from the participant’s sub-conscious mind such that it alters his / her perspectives, responses, behavior patterns and hence experience of different life situations.
For instance - we worked closely with the Telangana State Prisons Department, India to facilitate wellness workshops for prison officers of the Hon'ble State of Telangana, India.
Prisons officers experience a lot of stress since they constantly work with inmates, some of whom have very destructive minds and hurtful behaviour. The vibes inside a prison are dense and dark.
The stress that accumulates in the prison officer's life due to the constant exposure to a toxic environment adversely affects every aspect of his/her life - anger, emotional outbursts, health, relationship with family and friends etc. Unable to handle the stress - many prison officers take to intoxication, which in turn further amplifies the problem.
We conducted 5 day wellness workshops for the prison officers and facilitated changes in their core beliefs. ~95% experienced a sustainable reduction of stress and related aggression and displayed higher levels of calmness, equanimity and integrity.
This had a positive network effect - the officers were more calm and happy, they were dealing with the prion inmates with more awareness and equanimity, their relationships with family and friend improved and their health improved.
We facilitate the above through different healing modalities (such as Alpha Healing, Divine Light Healing, Chakra Healing, Inner Child Healing, Spoorthi Asanas, Breathing Techniques etc), which work on the ethereal / energy body and sub-conscious minds of the participants.
Buoyed by the positive results - Bureau of Police Research and Development, the nodal police research and development agency of Government of India, sponsored other wellness workshops. These workshops were attended by the prison officers of 6 other Indian States - Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Maharasthra, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Orissa.
Thus, our wellness workshops helps the participants identity and release their non-contributive and non-beneficial sub-conscious beliefs. The workshops helps them increase their problem solving, team work, ownership, inter personal, planning and execution skills by enhancing calmness of mind, focus, clarity in thinking, intuition (sixth sense), empathy, creativity and integrity.
Thus, we work closely with our clients to contribute, enhance and drive their culture and hence improve performance.
