How Dota2 killed itself with Update 7.0
OK, so it's been a few days already and the feedback is starting to addup to an avalanche of shitstorm that's about to hit Valve in their very heart. Seasoned players are mass deleting the game and quitting. So how do you call an Update that lowers the quality of your game, divides the community in half and brings it closer to a competative title (LoL)? I call it a major failure.
But what's so bad about the new update? Well, where to start? Gameplay changes that modify the way game's been playing for years? Unnecessary UI and HUD changes with no valid logical point that makes you curse for a few games while trying to do some stupid basic stuff which was done easily before that. I won't even mention lagg, crashes and glitches - for example I still cannot report/commend. Which is leading to more and more noobs staying in ranked games and ruing the experience.
Why Valve, why? Why did you change some many things which were working fine and people loved? Why trying to move closer to LoL (as everybody is saying right now) - your more popular competitor, didn't you know this is rather pathetic? How does it sound to lose players who have played for years and spent quite some bucks on IAPs?
One of the major community's feedback points was they didn't have the chance to test the new update for more than 1 day prior to launch. Bravo, Valve - that's how you respect your players and honestly if that's how you're set about it then you deserve what's coming!
