How does someone get so much done?

We all have 24 hours. How come someone is more productive than others and get so much done? One of the reasons is staying focused. Over the years, I have tried many different ways to optimize my operating system. Today I want to share one of the ways how I stay focus and be productive.
As a tech leader, I constantly need to juggle between countless meetings throughout the day. The traditional 5 mins pop up warnings don't work for me. Why? because the reminder doesn't stick with me. If I continue to do whatever I am doing, then my mind would not be on the meeting anymore and I would be late or missing the meeting completely. If my mind is on the meeting, then I would lose 5 precious minutes. Some people have talents on paying attention to time always, I am not one of those.
So I invented my own system - a repeatable process.
I have an alarm system with 30 mins interval. Each morning, as part of the planning, I set the alarm per my calendar. This system allows me to dive deep into strategic thinking without the constant distraction of meeting reminders.
What's your secrets to staying on top of all your meetings?
P.S. I invite you to join me and Mark Freed for a meaningful conversation on 9/30.
