“You have enough information, it’s time to implement it”
This is great advice, but sometimes it’s deeper than that.
As someone with ADHD, constantly being told by mentors, coaches, etc. to "just implement the information" seemed like helpful advice. And it was, but my brain didn't know where to start.
Sometimes, the information given only told us “what”... even after paying to be in programs to be shown “how” to implement the information.
On the other hand, sometimes there was so much information that it was hard to decipher where to start.
This is where the overwhelm starts.
It may not always be because the person "doesn’t want to work", sometimes it’s too much.
How do you combat this?

As a person receiving services, it’s helpful for you to figure out your own processes prior or at least a draft of the kind of person you would want to work with, your learning style, type of boundaries, etc.
From there, you can write out what you hope will happen after you receive the information. This can help you sort out what exactly you need from someone.
So when it's time to implement the information given, you have a better idea of where you want to start.
As the person giving services, it’s helpful to make sure your services are broken down to show where the transformation lies and different methods to support people.
This may look like more check-ins, making sure you give one task at a time, having an outline to give so people know timelines, etc.
What method(s) do you use to ensure you're implementing the information you receive?
