If you visit the hospital the first thing that will draw your attention is that you can’t smell the typical odor found in all hospitals. Odorless rooms and floors make the children and their parents comfortable. The reason for feeling uncomfortable is that smells trigger memories and in this case, parents can easily remember the painful memories they had in other hospitals, but they wouldn’t retain any memory in Nile of Hope due to the odorless rooms and floors.

The hospital offers psychological rehabilitation for children to know how to deal with their congenital anomalies and for parents to learn how to accept their children for who they are.

The interior designs play a huge role in children’s psychological health, for instance, the hospital has colorful decorations with beautiful drawings to help the children calm down. Some parents don’t know how to read the clinics’ names, so each clinic door is colored a different color to help parents differentiate the clinics easily without trying to read the clinics’ names. Children stay with each other in the inpatient rooms to help calm and comfort each other so no one will feel lonely. Another point in favor is that there are names for the children’s rooms that help them feel special. Some of the names are Blossoms, Butterflies, Vanguards, Flowers, Warriors, and Princesses. Animation movies are played on screens to entertain the children.

On the other hand, The MRI room is not just a room, but a spaceship. Doctors made an easy process in MRI to help children not to be terrified. It’s a simple process yet it is effective with children. When a child has an MRI scan a doctor will give him/her headphones playing songs or whatever the child wants to listen to just comfort him/her and an astronaut's helmet to be prepared to dive into space and enjoy the shapes of the stars and planets surrounding him from all sides. At the end of the scan, knowing that this experience takes a lot of courage children are awarded a medal for being a hero and completing their examination.
