Why is Planning Interval (PI) Planning so important??

Planning Interval (PI) Planning, which is an essential component of the SAFe framework, is an important event that drives us forward on our path to success. It is the heartbeat of our digital delivery. A PI planning is a time-bound scaled sprint that lasts, in our case, 10 weeks. Within these weeks our Value Streams and Platforms collaborate to create the value for our customers.?

This equips us with a solid understanding of where we stand and paves the way for setting realistic goals. The guiding criteria for the ideas we create are our OKRs (Objectives and Key Results).?

At The Digital Hangar, collaboration is at our hearts. Our setup is optimized to reduce dependencies, but within a big company it is impossible to reduce them to zero. That’s why the preparation always starts with building up the backlog for the teams together with continuous exploration to make sure we create the right ideas and are able realize them. We believe in bringing people together for collaboration instead of having the perfect process for it.?
