How Does a Chipped Bowl Relate to Content Marketing?

It’s October, which means that fall ?? and the spooky ?? season has arrived in the United States. In this week’s edition of What’s The BUZZ in Social, we cover the top social stories from September, highlight an article from Buffer that details the Best Times to Post on LinkedIn in 2024, and explain How a Chipped Bowl Relates to Content Marketing.

September Social Media Highlights

Instagram Adds a Signature Sound to Reels

Instagram has created a signature sound for Reels. In an update that literally no one asked for, Instagram has announced that a sound will be added to the end of each video downloaded. Is this a way to prevent users from downloading their published reels and then publishing them on other platforms? Possibly. And honestly we cannot think of any other reason for this addition.

Meta Acquires Threads.com

Meta has officially acquired Threads.com, making it easier for users to access the social platform. Previously, desktop users had to navigate to Threads.net to use the service. Now, with the acquisition, finding and accessing Threads will be more straightforward.

LinkedIn Removes Top Voice Badges

Beginning October 8, 2024, LinkedIn will discontinue the gold Community Top Voice badge, which has been awarded to users for their contributions to collaborative articles. If you currently hold this badge, it will remain valid for 60 days before expiring. This decision is part of LinkedIn's efforts to address challenges in maintaining quality standards for these automatically awarded badges.

The Best Times to Post on LinkedIn

This is one that you will want to save or bookmark Kirsti Lang and the team at Buffer published an article detailing the Best Times to Post on LinkedIn in 2024. Here is a hint (that may or may not seem obvious), weekdays between 9am and 5pm are the best times for most accounts.

This week’s featured content is an article we published recently on LinkedIn: How Does a Chipped Bowl Relate to Content Marketing?

The simple answer is this: not every piece of content has to be perfect to work or to resonate with your audience.

Just like a chipped bowl can still be useful, each piece of content can help to build your brand and your overall authority.

Far too often while creating content, we look for the perfect shot, the perfect video or the trending audio that will help our content get discovered, or heaven forbid, “go viral.”

In reality, the best content is the content that addresses a problem or an issue that your audience is dealing with. Whether the content is perfect or not.

So write that article and publish it. Post that photo. Upload that video and push PUBLISH….whether it is perfect or not.

Perfection is impossible; just strive to do your best.~ Angela Watson

Good stuff! If the bowl holds cereal you can still eat out of it!
